We launched in February 2021 to support consumer goods brands in the UK on their journey to have a positive impact on our environment. We launched in February 2021 to support consumer goods brands on their missions to be more sustainable, stemming from a frustration at the lack of knowledge sharing between brands. Many SMEs are passionate but constrained by their resources, and so they often can’t afford the guidance relied on by larger brands. We fill this gap.
Now, in 2024, we’re working hard to achieve this by creating content, building resources and connecting our community. We’d love for you to join us.

As a basis, all ‘roles’ are:
Contribution based, not timed: Average time is estimated at 6-8 hours per month max, but this a) fluctuates, and b) depends on your capacity.
Voluntary: Any revenue is split 50:50 between covering running costs and the team. However, currently the team aren’t remunerated on a consistent basis.
Flexible: We fit Following the Footprints around work and life commitments, and coordinate as a team to give each other breaks as and when we need. Life gets busy!
Not fixed term: We ask all team members stay a minimum of 3 months once they join, and give 1 months notice of their departure where possible.
Joy - led: Following the Footprints should never feel a chore; we’re growing and thriving because we’re enjoying what we’re doing. This is a core part of our team philosophy.
